What a whirlwind of events the last 24 hours have been. I have been in Edmonton with the Alberta Chamber of Commerce, many nonprofits and local Chamber of Commerces from around Alberta for the ACC Political Action Day and MLA dinner.

Political Action Day & MLA Dinner provides an excellent opportunity to meet one-on-one with provincial government leaders. The day includes education/training sessions on key issues facing the province with a luncheon keynote address. Network with provincial government caucus members during the evening’s cocktail reception and dinner, and hear directly from decision-makers during a Q & A session facilitated by the on of the MLA’s.

Overall, the day was an amazing experience. I had the pleasure of sharing dinner with Ms. Laila Goodridge, the MLA for Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche. She was extremely personable and had fond memories of visiting Langdon in the past. During the evening events, there were approximately 13 Ministers and 25 MLA’s in attendance, a record for the ACC Political Action Days history.

It was a huge honour and I am so happy to have represented the Langdon & District Chamber of Commerce during the events.
